George Clooney recently revealed that he has a career-ending prank up his sleeve for Brad Pitt – but Pitt is already thinking up his own retaliation.

In an interview with James Lipton on Bravo’s Inside the Actors Studio (Feb. 10, 8 p.m. ET), Pitt says he’s the one who actually started their practical joke war in the first place.

Back when the two were filming one of the Oceans 11 movies in Italy, Pitt says that Clooney received surprisingly deferential treatment from the film crew. The reason? A note Pitt sent on Clooney’s behalf.

“I sent a memo to the entire Italian crew, in Italian, that said, ‘Dear Crew: We wish you a wonderful shoot. George Clooney asks that, this is a very difficult role for him. He needs to concentrate deeply,” says Pitt, 48. “Mr. Clooney asks that you try not to interrupt him, look him in the eye. If you do need to address Mr. Clooney, please refer to him only as ‘Daniel’ or ‘Mr. Ocean.’ ”

“It went on for two weeks,” Pitt added. “He handled it gracefully, but he was becoming unnerved, I think.”

Having the crew walk on eggshells was especially new for Clooney, 50, according to his pal.

“George is our ambassador on the set,” Pitt explained. “He’s fun, he’s telling jokes, he keeps everyone together. And he loves that camaraderie. He eats lunch with the crew. There’s just no one better at it.”

For Pitt, hearing of Clooney’s recent revelation about a major prank he’s planning came as no surprise, but the Moneyball star claims he’s already armed with a retaliatory strike.

“I knew that something bad was going to happen by me doing this, so I came up with a second [prank],” Pitt tells Lipton. “Whatever he’s got, this is uglier. It’s so bad, I don’t even know if I can do it.”

Breakfast of champions for the Jolie-Pitt kids!

Like kids everywhere, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s brood of six sometimes need coaxing to get out of bed in the morning for school, globe trotting trips, jaunts to the farmers’ market and other adventures.

And Pitt, 48, confessed to James Lipton on an upcoming episode of Inside the Actors’ Studio that he’s not above a little caffeinated bribery.

“I admit there’s times like, ‘We gotta get up. Get up!” Pitt says of Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3. “‘Here’s your shoes. Here’s your shoes. Drink this Coke. Drink this Coca-Cola. Drink it all. Right now! Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!’ Just so we could get ‘em up and going.”

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie headed down the altar sometime soon?

That’s what could be expected, given Pitt’s recent comments about the pressure to propose – but according to Jolie, 36, her longtime beau’s comments were a bit overblown.

“I think anything said tends to be blown out of proportion,” Jolie told PEOPLE on Sunday’s red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in L.A., when asked about “a lot of ring-talk lately.”

“Yeah, that was my fault,” Pitt, 48, admitted, with a smile.

Speculation that wedding bells may be in the near future for the famous couple stem from Pitt’s interview with CBS News in which he said he and Jolie are “getting a lot of pressure from the kids.”

“It means something to them,” he continued. “We will [get married] someday, we will. It’s a great idea. ‘Get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will.’ ”

And then last week, Pitt reiterated those same comments to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It seems to mean more and more to our kids,” he said. “We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to [get married] till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out … it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”

Brad did not win at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards unfortunately – the award went to The Artist’s Jean Dujardin. I have added the first few photos from the event to the gallery, and as always, check back for more!

Angelina Jolie’s inner bad girl is back!

The 36-year-old actress smoldered in a Jenny Packham dress that showed off her multiple back tattoos at Sunday’s 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in L.A. Jolie accessorized her look with a bracelet and earrings by House of Lavande, a Platt Boutique bracelet, Gucci shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag.

“It’s fun to wake up and play with your kids and then get ready and go gout and be with bunch of friends. Especially on a night like tonight, where it’s all actors,” Jolie told E! News on the red carpet. “We’re running into a lot of people we haven’t seen in awhile.”

Jolie said her six children with Brad Pitt — Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3 — aren’t fazed by their frequent red carpet outings. “They usually just say, ‘You look fine. When are you coming home?’” Jolie said. “They usually just want to know if they can sleep in our bed tonight.”

Pitt, 48, added that he’s looking forward to working with Jolie on another movie. (The two famously fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005, while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.)

“We haven’t found anything specific yet, but we really want to,” Pitt revealed. “We hopscotch with our kids so one of us is always with the children. We figured, ‘Why don’t we do this together and we’ll have more time with them?’”

Brad Pitt may finally be ready to make an honest woman out of Angelina Jolie.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning (airing January 29), the Academy Award nominee says his six children are begging him to propose to In the Land of Blood and Honey director Jolie, 36.

“We’re getting a lot of pressure from the kids,” Pitt, 48, says. “It means something to them.”

Pitt admits he hasn’t “been very good” at explaining why he and Jolie have put marriage on hold since first becoming a couple in 2005. “We will someday. We will,” Pitt promises. “That’s a great idea.”

When his brood of six — Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3 — asked him to “get mommy a ring,” Pitt vowed: “Okay, I will! I will.”

The Moneyball and Tree of Life actor adds that he’s always been mindful of his children’s desires — especially when it pertains to his busy work schedule.

“You have less time to spend on a project,” Pitt explains. “You come home and you’re Dad. You’re much more conscious of how much time you give to a production.”

Pitt’s full interview on CBS Sunday Morning airs January 29.

Brad Pitt is well aware that an Internet search of his – or his partner, Angelina Jolie’s – name yields hundreds of millions of results.

But their kids would never know it.

“On all the kids’ computers we had our names blocked,” the actor, 48, told Germany’s Bild. “They can’t Google their mom and dad. I don’t want to make myself dependent on what other people think.”

Pitt adds that he and Jolie, 36, aren’t exactly searching for themselves either. “We don’t even notice all the noise,” he said.

The same could be said for his stance on aging. Despite being just two years away from the big 5-0, the actor says he enjoys getting older.

“I love becoming an older man. Your thoughts get clearer.”

Those thoughts may include a wedding in the works. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he and Jolie “would like to marry.”

“It seems to mean more and more to our kids,” he added.

Try to set up an interview with Brad Pitt, and you instantly plunge into his almost Dada-esque world. After all, where do you go? A restaurant rendez-vous would devolve into a scrum of gawkers and gapers; his suggestion that we meet at this publication’s office creates such a stir among jaded journalists, it is rapidly nixed; and Pitt’s house in the Hollywood Hills is apparently out of bounds, reserved for his partner, Angelina Jolie, and their six kids.

So, The Hollywood Reporter executive editor, features, Steven Galloway found himself feeling like a participant in the witness protection program, ensconced in a 14th-floor-suite at Hollywood’s W Hotel Jan. 20, because Pitt’s Cadillac Escalade can make a quick in-and-out to avoid the paparazzi thirsting to behold him.On this particular morning media reports surfaced revealing that police had interviewed his bodyguard about human limbs scattered near the Hollywood sign. Andd, he can’t help being bemused. “I was watching CNN, and they said, ‘Brad Pitt’s home!’ and, ‘Brad Pitt’s bodyguard!’ ” he laughs in disbelief. “I’m like: ‘Why? Why?’ ” The report is nonsense, of course: His security chief happened to pass a policeman who asked if Pitt’s surveillance cameras had recorded anything strange, which led to CNN’s proclamation: “Police interview Brad Pitt’s bodyguard, search Hollywood Hills for more body parts.”

Still Pitt remains unfazed. During an afternoon together, Pitt was thoughtful, pensive and discussed everything from his politics (supports President Obama) and religion (he veers between agnosticism and atheism), to his relationship with parter of over six years, Angelina Jolie and their six kids.

As for his two (maybe three depending on what the Academy decides his producer status is for Tree of Life) Oscar nominations for Moneyball (both for acting and producing), “It’s a great honor,” Pitt tells THR.

Some of the other personal details he shared in THR’s cover story as well as a behind the scenes video behind the cut:

Oscar nominee Brad Pitt has come a long way from his early days of stardom where he battled depression and drug use.

The 48-year-old star opened up about his past struggles with The Hollywood Reporter, saying he used drugs in attempt to escape the spotlight.

“I got really sick of myself at the end of the 1990s: I was hiding out from the celebrity thing and just being an online bingo player; I was smoking way too much dope; I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut; and I really got irritated with myself,” he told THR. “I got to: ‘What’s the point? I know better than this.’”

In addition to drug use, the “Moneyball” and “Tree of Life” star revealed he had his fair share of dark thoughts.

“I used to deal with depression, but I don’t now, not this decade — maybe last decade. But that’s also figuring out who you are,” he continued. “I see it as a great education, as one of the seasons or a semester: ‘This semester I was majoring in depression.’ I was doing the same thing every night and numbing myself to sleep — the same routine: Couldn’t wait to get home and hide out. But that feeling of unease was growing and one night I just said, ‘This is a waste.’”

Trips to Yugoslavia and Morocco in the late ’90s, where the actor said he saw “poverty to an extreme I had never witnessed before,” was the wakeup call he needed to change his life.

“I just quit. I stopped grass then — I mean, pretty much — and decided to get off the couch,” he recalled.

Pitt then looked to one of music’s biggest philanthropist for inspiration.

“I sought out Bono and sat down with him a few times and got involved in some of the stuff he was doing. But it all started before that. It started with private acts,” he explained, adding that his newfound passion to help others connected him with longtime partner Angelina Jolie.

“That may have been one of the things that brought us together,” Pitt said of Jolie. “Certainly, I’ve met very few people more dedicated than she is. She is always studying issues, daily. She has such compassion for the people she works with.”

Looking back, Pitt is at peace with past struggles.

“This idea of perpetual happiness is crazy and overrated, because those dark moments fuel you for the next bright moments; each one helps you appreciate the other,” he said. “We are all searching for meaning in our lives, love and betterment for ourselves and those around us.”

Brad Pitt’s six kids with Angelina Jolie are in for a treat!

“It’s gonna be pancakes for everyone this morning!” the 48-year-old actor said when he phoned in to the Today show Tuesday morning. Just minutes earlier, the Moneyball actor was nominated in the Best Actor category at the 84th Annual Academy Awards.

Pitt — who will face off against George Clooney (The Descendants), Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and Demian Bichir (A Better Life) — said he’s “ecstatic” to be recognized.

“It means so much considering this film was just dead on the rocks two years ago,” Pitt said. “It took a lot of people, a lot of artisans and craftsmen, to get it to the screen. It’s a great honor, a real tribute to Billy Beane and Oakland A’s organization. I’m really happy.”

The actor’s 28-year-old costar Jonah Hill also scored his first Academy Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category. “I’m so happy for Jonah Hill,” Pitt raved. “I can’t tell you.”

Moneyball wasn’t the only film to earn Pitt praise. “I’m doubly happy that Tree of Life made it in there,” he said. “We thought we were all but forgotten; just excited for [director and nominee] Terry Malick.”

The actor and producer, who’s been in love with 36-year-old Jolie since 2005, said he’s looking forward to seeing Clooney, 50, at the show.

“It’s more fun to have a friend there, and no one does it better than George,” Pitt said. “I say give him all the trophies, and when you run out of trophies, make some new ones and give him those, too.”
